Personal
This morning I made my new journey into the world of independent jewelry selling, and I became a distributor. It’s something I think I NEED as its a HUGE opportunity for growth both mentally, and spiritually. The opportunity could not have come at a better time. I won’t be leaving web design in the dust, but it is going to have to go on the back burner so to speak. I still have the ARPAST stuff along with one client and those needs will be met as usual, of course.
I’m working on a new non-profit design project, paraexplorers.com. If you’re a fan of the paranormal, you’ve probably heard of paranormal author, Marie D. Jones. She is writing a book along with Larry Flaxman, president of ARPAST who’s a dear friend of mine. Marie has become a good friend as well, and she’s delightful. I can’t think of any other word to describe her - talking to her makes me smile because she is such an energetic and fun person. The site is going to be a place for them to display their latest works, upcoming events, current news and mission statement. It’s been challenging as is any project during the planning phases, but I think it’s going well.
In other news, I recently adopted a little Malchi puppy (maltese/chihuahua mix) and she is currently 10 weeks old. Her name is Lily Belle (Lily for short) and rather than describe her, I’ll just post a photo, or two!

She is so calm for a puppy, and so incredibly smart. She already seems to know her name. She still won’t come when called but I don’t think it will be long before she has that mastered!
Almost forgot. My mom has been in poor health lately mainly due to an iron deficiency doctors discovered when doing a bunch of lab work. They inspected her stomach to see if they could find the culprit and they discovered a huge polyp that often blocks the tube where her stomach empties into her upper intestine. It’s HUGE but it is non-malignant (thank God!) It will have to be removed, but because it bled so much during the biopsy she is having minor surgery done in the hospital where blood will be available if she needs it. That’s all happening a week from this Friday.
